1. Information Collection
We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, upload documents, or contact us. This includes your name, email address, company name, job title, and industry. When you use our platform, we collect uploaded documents for processing, extracted ESG metrics and associated metadata, usage data such as pages visited, features used, and session duration, as well as device and browser information for platform optimization.
2. Use of Data
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the Green Meter platform. Specifically, we use your data to process and analyze uploaded documents for ESG metric extraction, validate extracted data against SEBI compliance rules, provide analytics dashboards and trend analysis, send service-related notifications and updates, respond to your inquiries and support requests, and improve our AI extraction models and algorithms.
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored on secure Azure cloud infrastructure. All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher. Uploaded documents are stored in isolated environments and processed in temporary containers that are destroyed after extraction is complete. Extracted metrics and metadata are stored in encrypted PostgreSQL databases with role-based access controls.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate our platform: Azure Document Intelligence for OCR and document processing, Azure OpenAI Service for supplementary metric extraction, and cloud infrastructure providers for hosting and data storage. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or document data to third parties. Third-party service providers are bound by data processing agreements and are only permitted to process your data as necessary to provide services to us.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how users interact with our platform. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Essential cookies are required for the platform to function and cannot be disabled.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. These include encryption at rest and in transit, role-based access controls, regular security audits, secure authentication including multi-factor authentication options, and monitoring and logging of access to sensitive data. While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. User Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may request a copy of all data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your account and associated data, export your extracted metrics and reports, and withdraw consent for non-essential data processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@greenmeter.app.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Document retention periods vary by subscription plan. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days and document data within 90 days. Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot be linked back to individuals may be retained for analytics and service improvement purposes.
9. Children's Privacy
Green Meter is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such data.
